A new range of dining and occasional furniture with an innovative construction. Cable ties join together the 5 or 6 individual elements of the furniture so each can be easily flatpacked, assembled and reassembled at will. The cable ties are incorporated as a design feature; each one is inset in a small perfect groove which reinforces the clean and simple lines of the pieces.
The core collection offers a range of light and dark grey, white or black legs, and a choice from a strong palete of colours for seats, backs and tabletops; even the cable ties come in multicolours. Customers can order a matching set, a single base colour with a mix of accents or a complete custom colourway of their own.
ABOUT: Anthony Hartley is a Yorkshire based furniture designer and maker who creates dynamic and engaging furniture of the highest technical quality. He produces each piece by hand, from original drawings through to finished product.
He describes himself as a “jumped up joiner” who started drawing and designing furniture while he was supposed to be doing other things at school, and never really stopped. With Art College not being an option upon leaving school, he became a joiner, and finally got himself into Leeds College of Art in 2000 to study furniture design. 2011 at last saw the launch of his first collection at Tent London.
