Crashing Porcelain Figurines by Martin Klimas

For Martin Klimas‘ project titled “Porcelain Figurines” Klimas dropped various porcelain figurines onto the ground from a height of 3 meters (9.8 feet) and set up a camera to capture photos triggered by the sound of the crash. The result is, as you can see, razor-sharp images of exploding figurines frozen in time. The images looks almost like a fighting scene from a chinese Kung Fu movie. If you look closely at one of the pic’s you can see a “Made in China” sticker which I think is pretty fun even though I am pretty sure Martin Klimas did not plan that.
