Influential, affluent, legendary and prolific graffiti artist Banksy has shared his views on advertising and, guess what, he’s against it. The artist states that advertisements
leer at you from tall buildings and make you feel small… They are ‘The Advertisers’ and they are laughing at you.” He adds “They have rearranged the world to put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission, don’t even start asking for theirs.”
Hopefully Banksy was well aware of the irony in the statement when he wrote it, as he himself proudly displays work on walls in front of you whether you like it or not, forcing you to read his anti-establishment diatribes.
