Recently completed was the ‘Coca Cola Beatbox’ which is a pavilion designed specifically for the London 2012 olympics by the London based architectural duo, Pernilla & Asif. The main inspiration for the pavilion was the summer’s anthem ‘Move to the Beat’ by setting up a feature which allows it’s visitor to play a unit of remix by Mark Ronson and Katy B, while altering the lighting. To add to that, recorded sound bytes of athlete’s heartbeats, sneaker sounds and arrows striking targets will be activated when it senses hand movements by the visitors during the 200m ascend to the roof, where the visitors can view the park.

The main exterior itself is composed of 200 interlocking rectangular air cushions, forming a crystal shaped shell. The structure is lighted in red and white, representing the colors of Coca Cola.
